Quilt appliquéd with fish and embroidered shells, all lovingly sewn by hand. Made from cinnamon and calamine linen along with peach cotton jad. The quilting runs diagonally across the quilt in a gentle wave. The shells have been embroidered with with linen thread using couching stitch. The quilt has been backed with cinnamon linen and finished with calamine linen. A high quality and eco friendly wool blend wadding has been used for the filling. It feels supple and airy and has a gentle puff.
Hand-dyed and hand-woven materials with natural colour variations and textures have been used and add to the quilt’s unique quality.
Made to be used for warmth, draped over furniture or hung on a wall. A sleeve can be added to the back if you would like to purchase this quilt as a hanging. Please contact the studio to discuss further.
Washing advice: spot washing and occasional airing out is ideal, but if the quilt requires a deeper clean then hand wash cold with a gentle detergent and line dry, do not machine wash or dry clean. Detailed instructions will be provided with the quilt.
